This weekend I noticed Manchester SEO ranking at #27 on Google and today it remains at that position. But do others see it there?

Submitting to Search Engines is NOT part of an SEO strategy
Just in case YOUR so called SEO company is still telling you their strategy involves submitting to search engines, consider this:
Homepage indexed in Bing and Spamgates open
Perhaps it is just a coincidence but no sooner does Bing index the homepage (on the 10th Feb) than the spambox starts to see some action. I’m a little disappointed how obvious it is with blatant references to various pharmaceuticals (clearly automated) I much prefer seeing the fake flattery that I see in my main blog.

Top 30 for Manchester SEO with no backlinks
There are many SEO activities that contribute towards a ranking for a particular keyword but not ALL those activities are always necessary. It all boils down to the term you want to rank for and WHO ELSE is also gunning for that term (ie the competition).
Did New Header Cause Ranking Increase For Manchester SEO?
Today the rank for Manchester SEO has increased to #31. The cached version was taken on 26th January which contains the homepage header change.

Today, I changed the homepage H1 from SEO Manchester to Manchester SEO.
What about Manchester SEO in Bing and Yahoo?
To date, while we have indexed pages in Google (due to telling google about the site using webmaster tools and analytics) there is no indexing in either Yahoo or Bing.

Below are the current ranked positions. These have been achieved with NO backlinks. Just content and use of basic onsite SEO. Please remember this is not to say that there is anything to shout about since the competitiveness of a term counts a lot in the grand scheme of things.
